Gardening has been Paula's working life rather than a career change. Decades of practical experience — in private gardens, large country plots and commercial grounds — sit behind formal RHS horticultural training, and the two together are what make the difference in day-to-day garden care.

Knowing a plant by name is only the start. Knowing when it flowers, which wood it flowers on, how it behaves on heavy Warwickshire clay and what it will look like in five years is what makes a garden improve rather than simply stay tidy.

That understanding shapes everything: how a border is planted, when a shrub is pruned, which perennials are divided this autumn and which are better left for another year.

A personal approach

Paula works with her clients, not around them. Some want to be involved in every decision; others simply want to come home to a garden that has been quietly looked after. Both are welcome, and both get the same care and honesty about what a garden needs.
